20 ARCHBOLD MEDICAL CENTER City schools win Live Better Fan Challenge Live Better, the Archbold-led community health initiative focused on improving the health of citizens in Thomas County, held the Live Better Fan Challenge at the Thomasville/Thomas County Central rivalry football game. Twenty-four elementary students from both school systems competed against each other in a relay race made up of physical challenges before the game. The Thomasville City Schools team completed the relay first, and they were named Live Better Fan Challenge champions. Live Better hosts 5K Pink Run and Pink Elite Challenge To kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Archbold’s Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center hosted the third annual Live Better 5K Pink Run on Sept. 29. Over 300 people partici- pated in the run/walk event. The overall male winner was Jack Saussy with a time of 20:56. Morgan Long was the overall female winner with a time of 23:30. In the Pink Elite Challenge, the overall male winner was Gregory Noonan, and the overall female winner was Megan Noonan. Live Better in the community Live Better ‘Try Days’ Live Better continues visits with K–5 students in elementary schools for “Try Days,” special days when students are encouraged to try new foods they’re learning about in their Live Better curriculum and to provide feedback on the new foods they discovered.
