Two of these labs are catheterization labs, where doctors perform these specialized procedures: Heart catheterizations—98 percent radial angioplasty and stent placement Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) Fractional flow reserve (FFR) Impella cardiac assist device placement Intra-aortic balloon pump placement Loop recorder insertable cardiac monitor placement Pacemaker implantation and changes Automatic internal cardioverter defibrillator placement and changes Transesophageal echocardiograms Cardioversions Central line placement Peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures take some time for him to be able to get back to work,” said Kim.
