New technology helps Archbold treat heart disease Archbold Memorial Hospital’s Loudermilk Heart and Vascular Center re- cently completed a renovation in the hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab, as well as installation of new cardiac imaging and treatment technology. Upgrades to the lab included installation of large touchscreen moni- tors, new measurement tools and safety equipment, as well as updated floor and ceiling aesthetics and new lighting equipment. Trust Archbold to help you sleep: Sleep Center accredited The Archbold Sleep Disorders Center has achieved accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for the Sleep Lab and Center Services. To earn the ACHC accreditation, the Archbold Sleep Disorders Center underwent a rigorous survey that demonstrated compliance with national standards and a commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care. “We care deeply about our patients and the care they receive here at the Sleep Center,” said Craig Wolff, MD, medical director of the Archbold Sleep Disorders Center. “The accred- itation is a testament to our commitment to provide the best quality care for our patients.” Archbold’s six-bed sleep center performs in-lab sleep studies, home sleep studies, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) titration studies, multiple sleep latency tests and maintenance of wakefulness tests. They also perform sleep studies on pediatric and geriatric patients. “This accreditation is a tremendous achieve- ment,” said Gerri York, coordinator at the Archbold Sleep Disorders Center. “We strive to be the best sleep center in our region, and the accreditation we’ve earned validates our efforts.”
