Broad St., Thomasville Live Better, the Archbold Medical Center-led collaborative of key com- munity leaders focused on improving the health of residents of Thomas County, will host the fourth annual Live Better 5K Pink Run. The Live Better 5K Pink Run will help promote early detection of breast cancer and bring awareness to the link between obesity and cancer. Runners and walkers are welcome. For participants who want to put their strength and endur- ance to the test, the Pink Elite Challenge will be back. Pink Elite Challenge participants will run the 5K with an added obstacle course. Washington St., Thomasville Join us to celebrate the eighth annual Pink Affair, a benefit fashion show featuring local cancer survi- vors. A celebration honoring the models will fol- low the fashion show, with food and live music. The presenting sponsor for the event will be Thomasville Toyota. Proceeds from the event will help cover the cost for patients to use Paxman Scalp Cooling technology, a new treatment that helps prevent chemo-induced hair loss for quali- fying patients undergoing chemotherapy. Pink cocktail attire is suggested, but not required. Tickets will be available for purchase begin- ning Oct. 1. Want to get involved?
