Jeremy Latimer, MD,

earned his

bachelor of science and master of

science degrees in genetics from the

University of Florida, and he received

his doctor of medicine degree from

Ross University School of Medicine

in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Latimer

completed his residency at Florida

State University College of Medicine. Dr.

Latimer is a hospitalist with Archbold Memorial Hospital.

Thomas “Scott” Barber, PA-C,

earned his bachelor of science de-

gree in biology from Valdosta State

University and his bachelor of science

degree in physician assistant studies

from Nova Southeastern University

in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Barber is

seeing patients at the Brooks County

Hospital emergency department.

Josh Simmons, MD,

earned a bache-

lor of science degree in biology from the

University of Georgia. He earned a medi-

cal degree from the American University

of the Caribbean. Dr. Simmons com-

pleted a residency in internal medicine

at the Mercer University School of

Medicine in Macon, where he was

named resident of the year and

peer-selected as chief resident. He then completed a fel-

lowship in hematology and oncology at Georgia Regents

University in Augusta, where he was appointed chief

fellow. Dr. Simmons has published research on head and

neck cancer, leukemia, and gastrointestinal cancer. 

Dr. Simmons is practicing medical oncology and

hematology at Archbold Memorial Hospital’s Lewis Hall

Singletary Oncology Center.

SaleemSheikh, DO,

earned his

bachelor of science degree as well as his

doctorate of osteopathic medicine from

Nova Southeastern University in Fort

Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his

residency in internal medicine at Norton

Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia.

Dr. Sheikh is a hospitalist at Archbold

Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.
